What I learnt in 2008

I have been blogging since 2007 and I must say I know much more about Instructional Designing than I knew a year back. I realized that my blogging activity has really helped me enhance my Instructional Designing skills. I realize that I have learnt a lot in the process of sharing information with others

In response to the Big Question this month here I list what I learnt to do in 2008:

Design Game Based E-learning Course

I know more about game based learning and I am very confident in designing game based e-learning courses. Thanks to Professor Karl Kapp’s  Games Gadgets and Gizmos  that helped me think more about game based learning.

Create Quick E-learning Prototypes

I can now do rapid prototypes. I am not deterred by my lack of graphic design skills. Thanks to Tom Kuhlmann for teaching how to group and ungoup PowerPoint clipart images and thanks to Meera Sapra for introducing me to Toondoo. I can create quick custom images using these tools. I can use Captivate much more efficiently than before.

Imbibe Strong Instructional Design Ideas

My approach to instructional design has changed after I started blogging. I have much more better and strong instructional design ideas than before. Thanks to all my fellow bloggers who taught me so much through their blog.

Do you want this posted on the LCBQ? If so, then leave a comment.

  • Rupa,
Thanks for your kind words about Gadgets, Games and Gizmos. It is exciting to have the concept of game-based learning being applied to e-learning. I suspect your own blogging has helped you to learn as well. And, the thing I think is interesting about blogging is that as it helps you to learn…it teaches others. Thanks again for reading and commenting on the book. Have a great 2009!
